Dog slaughter in South Korea.

Over 2,000,000 dogs are brutally killed in South Korea every year.

That's over 5,000 dogs a day who get electrocuted, hanged, burned or beaten to death..

They kill dogs for meat, dahn'gogi (dish sweet meat), & dog soup.

Some believe that if you torture a dog before you kill it, the meat will be more tastier and the eater becomes more masculine.

From there I did my research as I always do ,  there are  far too many bogus chain letters , lies , hoax letters for money , among other things out there for me to just trust whole heartedly . Upon my searching I came to find this to be true . My initial reaction was of shock , followed by disbelief , anger and .......understanding to a point .  I will list the site and some videos that show this , but first  I have to ask myself and those of you that may read this ......

Who are we to judge?

I think we can all agree that humans are not born with manuals , rule books or a definite laid path on how to live life . Life itself is full of discovery , mistakes, broken written rules and many other things . We can agree that life is a mystery and forever will be . Each country came to be where they are now from experience . With the wars came death in high numbers , with the transfer of powers came new rules , and with the instinct for survival came new ways to do things .....new ways to eat and live .

Many will look at this and only see anger . some will look at this and find nothing wrong with it . Some will not know what to make of it .

To each his/her  own .

What we see fit to eat in one country may be shunned upon by another . We would first have to decide as a whole , what can or can not be considered a food source . Some will say any animal is fair game where others would see some animals as being more and therefore deserving to be treated differently . So how can one be sure that something can be used as a food source? No one has an answer to that . There are some on this earth that consider another human being to be a valuable food source . We are not entirely sure ourselves were we stand when we have humans killing humans over land , food , or other things . Some will say it is justified , others will not agree . We placed ourselves on the highest point of the food chain because we out smarted the competition . Yet it is that same competition that finds its way to take us slowly but surely when we least expect it . 

MAN-EATERS

They are mans best  friends , companions even partners . This is what gets to people the most . The fact that these are not cattle bred and raised to slaughter , or fish we pluck from the sea , but because they bring us our slippers , or guard our houses or help take down criminals , we find something like eating them to be appalling .

As you can see , they are not the only ones that enjoy the things we claim to be friends . What some consider family others consider survival or a way of life. There are countries that see Americans as barbaric for eating cows which is held sacred in their eyes . There are some countries that consider what we see as a funny furry little human like primate that we gawk at in zoo cages as a delicacy . The things I loath to touch but is considered a much needed staple for my chosen pet sugar glider is what some see as a much needed food supply to keep their family from starving .

I have to ask  those that consider this to be an appalling unhuman like characteristic , would it be so frowned upon if this was a country where the human population resembled walking skeletons rather then humans?

So where do we draw the line for the sake of argument? This is clearly a human being in need of food , and I am sorry but a dollar a day is not covering it fast enough .

I find the unbalance of this world to be more sickening then anything I have seen thus far . I use to laugh when some of my childhood friends would tell me that they ate dogs and cats . I guess I ultimately did not get the last laugh.

They are our companions , our replacement for children , our partners in crime and the fight against crime and truly mans /woman's best friend........

but then so are some of the people that live in Seoul .

Take from this what you will but take it away from here ....
